Work Experience
July 2012 – present – From the 3rd Story Productions Ltd, Islington, London
I have been working with this production company for many years to produce film content. In addition to writing screenplays and directing films, the skills I have acquired during my tenure include content producing, marketing and producing online branded content, use of CMS for hosting, use of Davinci Resolve, Premiere post production tools (including After Effects), Office 365, Publishing onto Kindle, fundraising for film and film sales.  I have also developed excellent skills with chromokeying, digital animation using After Effects, and digital special effects. I also used my music background to home my skills in sound design and sound editing.

June 2011 – July 2014 Commissioning Officer for Disability Services, Islington Social Services, London
Working across Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) and Social Care infrastructures on as lead commissioner, commissioning frontline health and social care services for disabled people. I had the responsibility for the Joint Health and Social Care self assessment framework for learning disabilities, and benchmarking Islington’s performance against the other London boroughs, and delivered Direct Enhanced Services (DES) training to GP practices on reasonable adjustments for people with learning disabilities.

April 2009 – June 2011 Contracts Officer, Islington, London
Contract monitoring of social care services commissioned by the local authority and health services. This included carrying out audit inspections of services to assess quality, risk and viability, financial stability, and feeding this into the commissioning forward plan.

November 2005 – April 2009 Brokerage Manager, Islington, London
Streamlining access to block commissioned residential and nursing home beds to ensure that there was a pathway from hospitals to reduce elderly patient bed blocking on acute wards.

Arranging placements into residential and nursing care for older people who were ready to leave hospital, and organising home care packages for elderly people and liaising with domiciliary homecare providers.

Managing the store’s payroll and uniform allocation. I was fortunate to have the flexibility to fit this job around my studies and field work in Europe.

2003 Archaeological Work – Living and working in Italy. Excavating ancient Roman remains at Castelporziano.
2000-2004 Music – Lead singer and guitarist in UK band ‘From the 3rd Story’. I went onto get a record deal.
2008 Social Work – One year at UCLH Hospital in London. I helped elderly and frail patients on the wards with eating and drinking at mealtimes, and bringing in newspapers and sitting with people who didn’t have visitors. I also helped with personal care.
2016 – present Talent promotion. Using social media to promote emerging talent from fellow film directors through the hashtag #directorshowreelday which I created. It was a trending hashtag and led to collaborations, agency interest, magazine interviews and networking among professionals. The last one was on 9th August 2017.
